Strange night in European football, some big upsets and great performences dominnated the matchday.

Liverpool woes:

Yest another loss, this time in the hands of Lyon. Liverpool took the lead but uncharacteristically could not hold on to it. May be Rafa time is up ?

Barcelona felt the blues:

The biggest upset of the day was Barcelona’s defeat in the hands of brave Rubin Kaza, with a wonder strike Kazan took the lead in 2nd minute Ibra eqaulised but another late strike from Kaza was enough to beat Barcelona.

The fact that Dynamo Kiev led twice at the San Siro and AZ Alkmaar getting a draw against Arsenal goes to show that underdogs will not die wondering. Sure, if Rubin Kazan were to play Barcelona 20 times, they would probably lose 19 times.

esterday was a magical European night, full of surprises and shocks. Congratulations to the victors and commiserations to the victors.
