WWE NXT is a new event in the World Wrestling Entertainment vault, It will be replacing  almost dead event ECW. It is also referred to as WWE Next Generation program. It is replacing ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling).

WWE announced today on its company website that NXT will launch Feb. 23 on Syfy, replacing ECW in the same Tuesday night timeslot. Hence, the final episode of ECW will air on Feb. 16, 2010.

All the ECW wrestlers will be either move to Smack down or WWE Raw in coming weeks.  The coming FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) event is important. FCW is the only official development territory for WWE.
