Jose Miguel Cotto will be taking on Alvarez in the Walterweight division boxing fight which will be held on 1 May 2010 in MGM Grand, Las Vega, USA. Young Mexican Saul Alvarez is Undefeated so far in the division as he takes on Cotto, what some expert describe as a mismatch.

Unbeaten junior middleweight Saul Alvarez survived a scare, but won a ninth round TKO over Jose Miguel Cotto, Cotto staggered Alvarez with a left hook in round one, but Alvarez survived the round. Alvarez then dropped Cotto in round two and took over the bout thereafter. Tony Weeks finally waved it off at 2:51 of round nine.
