Diego Maradona and the company will be taking on Mexico for their 2nd Round tie in the World Cup, On paper Argentina look very stong and with hattrick hero Higuain and Carlitos are back in the starting lineup we are in for a great game of football which will surely provide some fireworks. Mexico defeated France in their group stage match with youngster Javier Hernandes scoring a very crucial goal. Argentina on the other hand just sailed through to the next round with three easy wins in the group stages scoring loads of goals and entertaining on their way to qualifying for the last 16.

Preview and Prediction: This world cup threw surprise after surprise, as many big teams got unexpected results and France and Italy even crashed out in the group stages so Predicting a winner in any game is anybody’s guess. Argentina were too strong in their group and won all of their three matches along the way scoring great goals (even though their star player Messi is yet to open his account in the world cup) But his overall contribution has been great as he made chances not only for himself but for his teammates as well, sometime his selfish runs cause headech to the Coach and he would want to avoid that in the crunch matches. So Argentina will line up with Messi supporting Higuain and Tevez in the forward line. It will be interesting to see how Argentina reacts if they go a goal behind because we havnt seen them recovering from the deficit yet. My prediction = Argentina (2-1)
