In the 2nd match of the 2011 World Cup of Cricket we will have two of the under performing teamas going head to head in the Group A match on 20 February 2011. New Zealand will be taking on Kenya in the Group match of the World Cup which is the early start of the day and will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk in Chennai on Sunday. New Zealand are coming into this match on the back of a very poor series against Pakistan, India and Bangladesh where they were hammered by al lthe Asian teams and they will have to get back to winning ways if they need to get into the quartr Finals.
Kenya on the other hand are the usual suspects in the World Cup appearences and they will be hoping to go out there and perform better against a low confidence New Zealand team who will be trying to get some good playing time for their batsman an bowlers in this match. From the looks of things It seems that New Zealnad have the better squad and on paper they look the superior team while they will have to remind themselve that they cant take Kenya Lightly as this teams qualified for the Semi Finals in 2003 World Cup and on their way to the Semi Final they did pull up some surprises along the way.
Devastating is the word for New Zealand performence in this one, Humbled Kenya for just 69 runs and took them 8 overs to achieve the targer. Bennet took 4 wickets while Southee and Oram had 3 each.
