Arsenal vs Tottenham Preview:

In November 17th Arsenal welcomes Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in London. Both teams will fight for valuable points in the north London derby. Arsene Wenger hopes to get home win over Andre Villas-Boas’ team.

Arsenal currently goes on the eights position in the Premier League with sixteen points after the first eleven games. They have very inconvenient season. They have a defeat, a victory and a draw in their last three games at the Emirates. Arsenal have leaky defence this season. They conceded three goals at home against Fulham last week, so they are waiting for Kieran Gibbs return. Jack Wilshere can help the Gunners to provide creativity in the centre of the field. Arsenal will be without Gibbs, Diaby and Rosicky. Gervinho will also miss out.

Tottenham stands on the sevens place with seventeen points. They have four defeats in the last five Premier League games. Away from home they have a pretty good record. Spurs will still play without Assou-Ekotto, Dembele, Parker and Kaboul. Spurs had a good game last week with Man City, but Citizens searched for late wining goal at the Etihad on Sunday.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tomas Rosicky and Wojciech Szczesny are all unavailable for Arsene Wenger. Jack Wilshere is back after the one-match ban for his red that he picked-up against Manchester United. Abou Diaby, Gervinho and Lukasz Fabianski are still out of football. Kieran Gibbs could make a surprise return, as he started his training.

The Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele is still injured. Aaron Lennon, Kyle Walker could return to the team after first trainings. Long-term injured Scott Parker, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul are all remain sidelined.


Arsenal line-up: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud, Podolski.


Last three games:

Arsenal 3 – Fulham 3;

Schalke 04 2 – Arsenal 2;

Man Utd. 2 – Arsenal 1.


Tottenham line-up: Friedel, Walker, Gallas, Caulker, Vertonghen, Lennon, Huddlestone, Sandro, Bale, Dempsey, Adebayor.


Last three games:

Manchester City FC 2 – Tottenham 1;

Tottenham 3 – NK Maribor 1;

Tottenham 0 – Wigan Athletic 1.
