West Ham vs Chelsea Preview:
On the 1st of December West Ham welcomes Chelsea at the Boleyn Ground in London. New Chelsea coach Rafa Benitez looks for first victory. The Blues manager has not achieved a great start at the Stamford Bridge, so he will be trying to get his first three points in away game.
West Ham are tenth in the EPL with nineteen points after fourteen games. They have won five, drawn four and lost five matches. Their recent form hasn’t been great this season with just one win in their last five games. They managed to get two draws but also they have lost two matches. West Ham showed a pretty good game in a 1-0 loss away at Manchester United midweek. They welcome back McCartney and Benayoun, but Diarra, Vaz Te and Collison are still out of the game. West Ham needs to get more production from target man Andy Carroll, but he scored just one goal in ten appearances.
Chelsea are third in the league table with twenty six points after fourteen rounds. They have seven wins, five draws and two losses. Their present form has been very poor having four draws and one loss in their last five games. Chelsea have started a new period under Rafa Benitez coaching with two straight 0-0 draws. They spent a lot of money in the summer so the fans are waiting for goals and immediate result. Also most of them are not accepts Benitez at all.
The Hammers will play without long-term injured Ricardo Vaz Te and Alou Diarra. Jack Collison has recuperated after knee injury and is in full fitness for this game. Yossi Benayoun is unable against his parent club. George McCartney and Mark Noble could return.
Rafa Bnitez will have to play without central defender David Luiz. He is banned after picking up a fifth yellow card in the Wednesday night game. Captain John Terry and Frank Lampard are not ready to return for this game. Daniel Sturridge is back to trainings and could be saved for the Champions League game with Nordsjaelland on Wednesday.
