Valladolid vs Real Madrid Preview:
On the 8th of December Valladolid welcomes Real Madrid at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla in Valladolid. Jose Mourinho’s tem looks to continue their wins after derby victory. Los Blancos still sit eleven points behind Barcelona in La Liga, and without Champions League matches they must get their wining form back.
Valladolid are 7seventh in La Liga with twenty one points after fourteen games. They have six wins, three draws and five losses. They played three wins, one draw and one loss in their last five matches. In this period they have managed to score six and conceded four goals. Valladolid have promoted from Segunda last year. Their main aim was simply to avoid relegation in this season. So, they are already clear of the fight with the last three. In the last round Valladolid managed to defeat Sevilla with the score 1-2 away from home.
Real Madrid are third in the league table with twenty nine points after fourteen games. Los Blancos have won nine, drawn two and lost three games. Their present result has seen four wins and one loss. They have scored thirteen and conceded three in their last five games. Madrid managed a step to the second place last week when they won Atletico with the score 2-0. Second placed Atletico are now just five points ahead of Los Merengues. In the Champions League they won Ajax with the score 4-1 on Tuesday’s game, and qualified from the second place behind BvB.
Madrid still has some injured players with Higuain, Albiol, Marcelo and Essien. But for this game they are able to easily replace these players with others. Real Madrid’s head coach Jose Mourinho gave a rest to some key players in the Champions League win over Ajax on Tuesday. Sergio Ramos and Pepe will replace Raphael Varane and Ricardo Carvalho, while Alvaro Arbeloa will return after suspension. Fabio Coentrao picked-up an injury in the game against the Eredivisie champions, so Nacho may replace him at left-back, while Marcelo is still a long-term out. Xabi Alonso will return to his place instead of Luka Modric. Modric or Ozil will play in a slightly more advanced role. Angel Di Maria probably will replace Jose Callejon.
Valladolid have great news that their key players Manucho and Marc Valiente have both recovered from injuries. But their leading defender Jesus Rueda is not available, after he picked-up a knee injury against Sevilla last weekend.
