On the 9th of December Betis welcomes Barcelona at the Estadio Benito Villamarín in Sevilla. Blaugrana will try to get their eighth away win.

Barcelona is at the top of the La Liga with forty points from fourteen rounds. The Blaugranas are unbeaten this season in La Liga and trying to extend their unbeaten run. They have four wins and one draw in their last five games in all competitions. The Catalans have won Athletic with the score 5-1 last weekend. In the Champions League they have qualified from the first place with thirteen points, after they have drawn with  Benfica 0-0.

Lionel Messi presently is the top scorer with twenty one goals. Barcelona can keep up their 100 % record away from home in La Liga this season.


Barcelona can be forced to play without their leader Lionel Messi. He is in search of 85th goal in 2012. The Argentinean picked-up an injury and was forced to leave the field in midweek Champions League game. But now he made his first training and are doubtful for this match.

David Villa could start with Pedro and Andres Iniesta in attack. Cesc Fabregas could be moved back in to midfield zone. Javier Mascherano can return to his partner Gerard Pique in central defence. Martin Montoya will continue to play at right-back.


Pepe Mel can count on centre-backs Paulao, Damien Perquis and Mario. But Juan Carlos is still a doubt for this game.
