Cagliari vs Juventus Preview:

On December 21st Cagliari welcomes Juventus at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in Parma. The Bianconeri will try to end this year with sixth straight wins and another three points. Antonio Conte has a defender limit in his team, but he is still in search of another victory against a free-falling Rossoblu men.


Cagliari goes sixteen in the Srie A with sixteen points after seventeen rounds, having four wins, four draws and nine defeats this season. Their present form has seen four defeats and just one win from their last five games. They are struggling at the bottom end of the table and are two points above of relegation zone. Cagliari have lost to Juve with the score 1-0 two weeks ago in the Coppa Italia. They have lost their last match with the score 4-1 against Parma.

Juventus are at the top of the Serie A with forty one points after seventeen games. They have won thirteen, drawn two and lost two games. In the last five games they were unbeaten having a 100% result. Juve have won the league title last season without losing a mach. They haven’t been able to maintain that form this season, but they are currently seven points ahead of their nearest rivals. Also, Juventus are fifteen places and twenty five points ahead of their weekend’s opponents. They have lost just twice this season and are going to win the title once again this year. Last week Juventus bat Atalanta with the score 3-0.


Cagliari hosts Serie A champions on Friday evening. The home team has lost a temporary safety certificate for their stadium, so the game will take place on a neutral venue.

Head coach Ivo Pulga has only one missing player Sebastian Eriksson. He is missing through injury.


Juventus have a mini-crisis at the back. Giorgio Chiellini has a calf injury. He will join Nicklas Bendtner and Pepe. So Leonardo Bonucci, Luca Marrone and Martin Caceres are expected to replace them.
