On December 22nd Tottenham welcomes Stoke at the White Hart Lane in London. Spurs will try to break down Pulis’ defensive tactics. The hosts have won four of their last five games and face strong opposition that has conceded the smallest number of goals in the EPL and goes with eight clean sheets.


Tottenham goes the fourth in the EPL standings with twenty nine points from seventeen games, having nine wins, two draws and six losses. Their present form has seen four wins and one defeat in their last five games. In the last five matches at home they have two defeats and three wins. Spurs have bat Swansea with the score 1-0. Spurs really seem to be coming on their good form under new manager Andre Villas-Boas.  They are back in the top four and have matches against bottom half teams.

Stoke City goes ninth in the league table with twenty four points form seventeen matches. They have won five, drawn nine and lost three games. Their present form has seen three wins and two draws in their last five matches. Stoke are in good form and are unbeaten in their last seven games. They are only five points behind of the Champions League zone. Also they have excellent result on the back. In the Christmas period they have games against Liverpool, Southampton and Manchester City.


Andre Villas-Boas will play without defender Younes Kaboul. Gareth Bale and Benoit Assou-Ekotto are doubtful for this game, while Michael Dawson and Scott Parker could return. Hugo Lloris will continue in goal.

The visitors have some new injury concerns with Rory Delap, Marc Wilson and Michael Owen. Tony Pulis will play with the same back four that have played against Everton.
