Stoke vs Liverpool Preview:

On December 26th Stoke welcomes Liverpool at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The Potters will be looking to maintain their unbeaten home run. Tony Pulis’ team made their tenth league draw against Tottenham, while Brendan Rodgers’ men destroyed Fulham wit the score 4-0 at Anfield last weekend.


Stoke goes on ninth position in the EPL with twenty five points after eighteen games. They have five wins, ten draws and three losses so far this season. Their present form has seen three wins and two draws from their last five EPL games. Stoke haven’t lost in English Premier League in their last eight games. At home they are unbeaten in fifteen straight matches, having four wins and two draws from their last six games.


Liverpool goes eighth in the league table with twenty five points from eighteen matches, having won six, drawn seven and lost five games so far this season.  Their recent form has seen four wins and one defeat from their last five matches. Liverpool is more unstable this season. Away from home Liverpool managed two wins, three draws and one defeat in their last six games.


Stoke head coach Tony Pulis will play without Rory Delap and Marc Wilson. Ex-Liverpool forward Michael Owen also will remain sidelined. Another ex-Merseyside midfielder Charlie Adam, is also under doubt after the death of his father last week.

Brendan Rodgers has the only one fresh injury player Oussama Assaidi. Fabio Borini and Martin Kelly still remain out of the game. Rogers could give some game time to Raheem Sterling and Joe Allen. Stewart Downing will continue on the left wing.
