On December 30th Everton welcomes Chelsea at the Goodison Park in Liverpool. The Blues will try to get fourth straight league win when they visit unbeaten Toffees. Rafa Benitez’s team faces a strong outfit that has top-four aspirations.


Everton are fifth in the EPL standings with thirty three points from nineteen matches.  They have eight wins, nine draws and two losses so far this season. Their present form has seen three wins and two draws in their last five games. At home they have three wins and two draws. The Toffees have won Wigan with the score 2-1 last round.

Chelsea goes third in the league table with thirty five points from eighteen matches, having won ten, drawn five and lost three games. Their last five games has seen three straight wins one draw and one defeat. Last round they had a 1-0 away win at Norwich. Last five matches far away from home has seen two wins, two defeats and one draw.

This is the match of the day with two of the league’s top teams meeting in a very important game. Everton need three points to keep tempo with Spurs, WBA and Arsenal in the race for fourth spot.  They have made a strong start and will try to fight for the Champions League place! Chelsea are just four points behind second placed Man City. They had a very poor run few weeks ago, but now they are back for the hunt for first place.


Darron Gibson is available for Everton, while Marouane Fellaini remains suspended. Johnny Heitinga may not return to the starting line-up. Seamus Coleman is fighting to be fit. Tony Hibbert and Kevin Mirallas are still out of the game due to injury.

Chelsea could make some changes with Eden Hazard in start squad and Oscar on the bench. Ramires may come instead of John Obi Mikel. Ryan Bertrand has groin injury, John Terry and Oriol Romeu both have knee injuries.
