On the 6th of January Swansea welcomes Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea. Arsene Wenger will look for FA Cup revenge after league loss to Swansea. Michael Laudrup’s men overcome the Gunners with a 2-0 in the Premier League at the Emirates in December.

 

Swansea are ninth in the EPL standings with twenty nine points after twenty one game. They have won seven, drawn eight, and lost six games so far this season. Their present for has seen one win, three draws and on loss in their last five games. The last five home games of Swans have seen two draws, two wins and one defeat.

It is the fourth FA Cup tie between these teams, and the first one since 1968. Swansea beat the Gunners in once and lost next two games. Swansea have won Arsenal in the last Premier League game with the score 2-0 at the Emirates in December. Their top-striker Michu netted twice against the Gunners in the EPL game in December.

Arsenal goes sixth in the league table with thirty four points after twenty games, having won nine, drawn seven and lost four matches so far this season. Their present form has seen three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five games in all competitions. Far away from home the Gunners finished their last five ties in all competitions having two wins, one draw and one defeat.

Swansea’s forward Michu and Arsenal’s winger Theo Walcott have 14 goals in the EPL this season.

 

Swansea will have a fully fit team for the FA Cup game against Arsenal. Only Neil Taylor is out until May. Head coach Michael Laudrup will continue with Danny Graham up front after two goals in his last two EPL games.

Lukasz Fabianski probably will miss this tie, but will be in line in the Premier League match against Manchester City next Sunday. Abou Diaby with thigh injury and Andre Santos that has abdominal problem have no date to return from injury. Vito Mannone and Emmanuel Frimpong are both ill.

Marouane Chamakh will also miss this game cause of a possible January transfer to West Ham.
