Valencia vs Real Madrid Preview:

On January 20th Valencia welcomes Real Madrid at the Estadio de Mestalla in Valencia. The Los Che will be looking for the cup defeat revenge.  Ernesto Valverde’s team will have in minds midweek’s 2-0 loss to the Castilian giants in the Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg.

Los Che were dominated in the last Copa del Rey game, but Real Madrid managed some great counterattacks and scored.


Real Madrid stands third in the La Liga table with thirty seven points after nineteen games, winning eleven, drawing four and losing four. Their present form has seen three wins, one draw and one defeat from their last five games. Far away from home Los Blancos have seen one win, one draw and three defeats  in their last five games. Also, Real Madrid have won just one of their last six away matches is all competitions.


Valencia duo Daniel Parejo and Joao Pereira are out of the Sunday’s Primera Division game cause of suspension. Sergio Canales has a knee injury. Jeremy Mathieu is also unavailable due to ankle problem. David Albelda and Victor Ruiz are doubts. Head coach Ernesto Valverde will serve a touchline ban, after he was sent off in the 2-0 Copa del Rey defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu.


Cristiano Ronaldo and Antonio Adan are back from suspension for Madrid. So, who will start from the first minutes between the sticks is a question. Kaka and Sergio Ramos are suspended, while Pepe is out of the game through injury.
