Blues will try to make cup progress after rescuing in fourth round. Fernando Torres’ late goal has given the Bees an unlucky ticket to the Stamford Bridge, so they have to play in the replay.

Chelsea currently stands third in the EPL with 49 points from 26 games. Their present form has seen two draws, one loss and two defeats. The last one came in Europa League against Sparta Prague on Thursday night with the score 0-1. Last five home games Blues have finished with two defeats, one draw and two wins. Chelsea are undefeated in four games in all competitions against Brentford.

Brentford goes sixth in the League one table with 54 points from 31 games. They have had a mixed form with three draws, one loss and one win from last five matches. Their ast five away games have seen two wins, two draws and one defeat. In general, the Bees have won just one of their last six matches. Brentford and Chelsea haven’t played each other for 63 years despite they are separated by just six miles.


John Terry could return after knee injury. He travelled to Prague in the Europa League with the rest of his team, but it is most likely, that he is expected only from the bench. Ashley Cole also missed the midweek match, but is expected to replace Ryan Bertrand. Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel have returned from AFCON. So, Rafa Benitez has no fresh injury worries.

Brentford head coach Uwe Rosler will play without Farid El Alagui and Kevin O’Connor, due to long-term injuries. Apart from those two players, the Bees have a full-strength squad.
