Blues will try to win to progress to the quarter-final stage. Last year’s Champions League winners must overtake a 1-0 away deficit, while Steaua will be fighting for positive result far away from home.

Steaua made a 1-0 lead thanks to a first half penalty from Romanian top-scorer Raul Rusescu in the first leg. The first game was a very hard match with almost equal shots. Steaua had an excellent 3-4 win over Ceahlaul in the Romanian League this weekend. Fernando Torres will lead the line for Chelsea, cause Demba Ba is cup-tied for Newcastle. John Terry should return at the centre of defence. John Obi Mikel and Eden Hazard are likely to start from the first minutes.

Steaua head coach Laurentiu Reghecampf could use the same starting line-up that won Chelsea in the first game. Also, Daniel Georgievski can recover in time. Forward Stefan Nikolic could also return from a knee injury.
