Manchester City vs West Ham Preview:

Date: April 27, 2013; Time: 12:45 PM BST;

Venue: Etihad Stadium — Manchester.

Mancini’s team will try to extend their unbeaten home run. Manchester City will try to show that second place in the table it is a mistake, while West Ham will be looking for top half position.

Manchester City stands 2nd in the EPL table with 68 points from 33 games, having 20wins, 8 draws and 5 losses so far this season. The Citizens are 16 points behind Manchester United who already won the title. Their present form has seen 4 straight wins and 1 loss from last five games. 3-1 defeat came from Tottenham last weekend. Last five home games City have finished with 5 straight wins and currently have 10-mathc unbeaten home run in all competitions. Roberto Mancini will have to improve the game and change something in the summer, if he wants to retain the title and stay at the club. The reverse fixture back in November ended in goalless draw.

West Ham goes 10th in the league table with 42 points from 34 matches, winning 9, drawing 11 and losing 14 so far this season. Their present form has seen 3 draws and 2 wins from last five games. Last five away matches the Hummers have finished with 1 win, 2 losses and 2 draws. They have had a great season after promotion from the Championship and are undefeated in the last 5 EPL games, having won the last one at home 2-0 against Wigan.

Roberto Mancini has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from. Sergio Aguero probably will back into the starting line after his recovery, while James Milner should be fit enough to start from the bench after a hamstring problem. David Silva remains doubtful after an ankle problem. Maicon, Micah Richards and Jack Rodwell are all fit.

For West ham, Mark Noble could be fit after his return from a shoulder injury. So, Ricardo Vaz Te could be dropped on the bench. Head coach Sam Allardyce has some doubts about James Tomkins due to a calf injury. George McCartney is the only definite absentee due to a knee ligament injury.
