Manchester United took on league leaders Chelsea in the premier league clash on Sunday at Old Trafford and with City and Liverpool winning their respective games earlier in the weekend this became a must win for United if they were to sneak in top four. They had a perfect start when Rashford scored in just seventh minute of the game to put United 1-0 up. Chelsea failed to cope with constant United pressing in first half as the game was 1-0 in United’s favour at the break.

Manchester United 2-0 Chelsea Highlights
[ English Premier League 2017 Match ]
07′ 1 – 0 Marcus Rashford scores the quickest goal for United this season in 7th minute to put home side 1-0 up at Old Trafford. Herrera’s sublime pass cut open Chelsea defense and Rashford took a touch before slotting home in far post.
49′ 2 – 0 Ander Herrera scores with a deflected shot to make to make it 2-0 and pretty much settle the game.
Manchester United has lost to Chelsea twice already this season at Stamford Bridge including that devastating 4-0 defeat in premier league earlier in the season. Chelsea also got the better of United in FA Cup quarterfinal tie in March and they will be slightly favourite going into Sunday big game.
Mourinho is likely to go with a strong side as he has done in all cup competitions so far. Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to start upfront while Rashford and Mikhitaryan to start in attacking roles with Carrick, Pogba and Herrera starting in midfield.
Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United – 13 March 2017
[ FA Cup 2017 Quarterfinal Match ]
35′ [ Red Card ] Ander Herrera was sent off for his second yellow card offense in 35th minute of the game.
52′ 1 – 0 N’Golo Kante scored just after the break from outside the box with a low shot to put Chelsea in lead.
Team News & Lineups: Mourinho started with Ibrahimovic in the Europa League game and he should return to starting lineup alongside Rashford. While Mourinho has a decision to make whether to start with Martial or Ashley Young in this game. Considering he used Young on the left side against Liverpool we can expect young to be part of starting lineup to do a job on Hazard. Michael Carrick played brilliantly on thursday night but he is sure to miss out a starting berth against Chelsea because Ander Herrera and Pogba to start in central midfield roles.
Chelsea are likely to start with Diego Costa, Hazard and Pedro upfront with a solid 4 man midfield with Alonso and Mosses playing as wide men. Matic and Kante to keep their places in central midfield while three man defense of David Luis, Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta. This is how I expect both teams to lineup.
Predictions: Another top game this weekend where Chelsea will be slightly favourite going into the game with Manchester United. The build up is all about Mourinho’s return to his favorite hunting ground but this time as the manager of Manchester United which is in all honesty biggest club in England. It will be another tactical game where Mourinho would hate to lose but I feel Chelsea playing at home will do enough to get a narrow 1-0 win.

Previous Match Review: Manchester United took on Chelsea in the premier league game on Sunday, 07 February 2016 at Stamford Bridge and it turned out a very tight game as both sides canceled each other out in the first half. Manchester United took the lead in second half with Jese Lingard scoring with quick turn and shoot.
Jesse Lingard second half goal was not enough to see off Chelsea at Stamford Bridge when his quick turn and shoot beat Thibaut Courtois for United’s first and only goal of the game but Diego Costa equalised in injury time to keep Chelsea’s unbeaten record going.
Manchester United started the game stronger of the two sides with Martial causing havoc on the left flank. He ran circles around Ivanovic and forced Thibaut Courtois in couple of good saves but Chelsea started to control the game before the half time and had couple of chances to take the lead.
