Tyson Fury is set to take on Deontay Wilder in what should be a massive heavyweight clash for the WBC heavyweight championship belt at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It will be one of the biggest heavyweight clash in United States for quite some time. Considering the interest in the fight both in the UK and US we can safely assume both Wilder and Fury are set to pocket their career best purse. How much money ? well that depends on number of factors including PPV sales, gate receipts and sponsorship leading to the big fight. Fury vs Wilder will be a PPV event in both USA and UK and it will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles where we can expect large crowd. Before we know how much these two will take home from the fight we need to know some of the financial details ahead of the big fight.

Gate Receipts: Fury vs Wilder has created alot of buzz and the build up has been solid. Although Wilder has not headlined an PPV before his profile has risen over the last 12 months with his rivalry to Joshua. While Tyson Fury will bring his own pantomime to the States and we can expect full house at the 21,000 capacity Staple Center. The average price of the tickets will be around $500 which will easily clear around $10 million in gate receipt.

PPV Buys: Its tricky to predict PPV sales in the US as Wilder has never fought in the US but since his profile has raised and Fury is no mug himself we can expect decent sales of PPV of around 1 million mark at the price of around $65 per ppv. That brings in around $65 million from just US PPV sales. BT Sports Box Office will broadcast the fight in the UK and PPV price is around $20 in the UK. With Fury making one last hurray we can expect him to break his previous PPV record of 500,000 buys which will bring in another $10 million.

Final Purse Split: So thats $10m from gate receipts and another $75 million in PPV sales only in US and UK where more will be added with other international broadcasting deals. So that brings in total revenue from the fight at around $85 million. Broadcasters like Showtime and BT Sports are set to pocket half of the PPV revenue which leaves around $47 million in purse payouts which will be shared at 50/50 split.
