The Liverpool skipper played a suicide back pass to Reina, an awful ball, and Drogba was on-hand to sidestep the ‘keeper, and slot the ball home. 1-0 Chelsea.

It was a great ball from Anelka, and Lampard had to use his strength to hold Benayoun off, and the England was there to do what he does best, and Chelsea have strong lead at Anfield.

Top Scorer Jermain Defoe of Spurs opened the scoring for the home side when they were allotted a Penalty and he came up and finished it superbly, Chelsea had their fair of chances but could not make good use of it as tottenham made it 2-0 with a goal coming from Left back Gareth Bale shoe scored just before the halftime.

Title Race is wide open with this win of Tottenham, as There is only one point between Manchester United and Chelsea, United earlier managed to beat City rivals wit ha very late goal from Scholes.

Defoe’ Penalty (1-0): He’s missed both his penalties so far this season. NOT THIS TIME!!! EMPHATIC FINISH Its 1-0

SPURS!!! Bale’ 2-0 That was almost too easy. Bale stepping in off the left flank past Paulo Ferreira and drilling a low shot past Cech at his near post. He’s been a thorn in Chelsea’s side so far

In the Midweek action of the English Premier League Spurs took on Local Rivals Arsenal in the much awaited London Derby. Tottenham are fighting it out for the fourth position with Manchester City who are four points clear at the top and after the semifinal exit in the hands of Pompy at the weekend harry Redknapp would want his team to get back on track.

Danny Rose scored the goal of his life on his first start for Tottenham. As the corner came in for Spurs Almunia cleared with what looked like a decent punch, but only punched it as far as Rose who struck an absolutely ferocious left footed volley from all of 25 yards which travelled like a missile into the roof of the net. A wonder goal on the youngsters big night.

Arsenal fall to sleep at the back and no one picks up Gareth Bale in the inside right position. Jermaine Defoe plays a fantastic defence splitting pass to Bale and with Sagna failing to push up Bale is a yard onside and has the easy task of slotting the ball underneath Almunia to extend Spurs’ lead. Arsenal’s title hopes are fading fast!

In a devastating performance on Saturday Roberto Mancini side Manchester City hammered Burnley by six goals to one. Adebayor scored a brace in the process while Tevez Bellemy and Kompany were among the scorers.
First three goals came in first 7 minutes of the match which left home crowd totally shocked and some of them left the stadium in fume. Burnley did manage to grab a goal in the second half which was just a cancellation.

They were three goals up within six minutes and played with a ruthlessness that has rarely been associated with the light blue shirt, with three goals coming from Adam Johnson corners.

Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy and Carlos Tevez gave them a comfortable lead before Patrick Vieira ended a 14-minute dry spell with the fourth. Adebayor added a fifth just before the interval before
